Thanks Sillgen, lets hope Silverdream agrees, I to will be interested on the outcome but I still think if William Baker died then perhaps the mother married again, if so we will only find a Baker marrying someone else, if this birth is correct and I believe it is then perhaps a second marriage will be in the same area, narrows it down a bit .
Happy hunting everyone

My last impute till Silverdream comes through

Deaths of William Bakers after March qtr 1897 (her birth Nov, I'll say no more !!)

Brighton area
Dec 1897 aged 57
Sept 1899 aged 24
March 1900 aged 20

If Silverdream does purchase a cert she will get an address, hopefully will be found on 1901?

For those of you that were interested in Louisa Baker, her birth certificate came today. (I have had to start again with Rootschat, hence the different ID)
I am not sure it helps much. louisa was born Nov.3rd 1897 at 22. William St. Brighton. It lists her mother as Louise Baker formerly Marsh. her father William Baker "general hawker". In the free bmds I found a Louisa Marsh age 10 in the 1881 census, parents Sarah and William Marsh. Dont know if its her. William still remains a mystery. :D

Hi Geckogirl,

Maybe the marriage would tell you more about William?
Sep 1894 Brighton 2b 485
