It says 1954 Canteen at Clarence Dock Power Station, Liverpool .... is that the same place Pegasuss ??

Just been popping in and out of the forums see whats going on.
I thnik these Queens drive pics may be the North end.
There is one of this end though
It saysd the rocket roundabout
Its where the flyover in now at Broadgreen and the M62
I seen a topic the other dau that I thought may interest you
It was on the L&SWL site
Hope I dont get told off for saying that
It was about the origins of Ethel Austin
Apparentley she was born in the Dingle around the cockburn street area
Same as my Dad
But her shop was on the corner of Breck road and Bishop street

Well there's a name I haven't heard in a long time .... Ethel Austin !!  I had family in the Dingle .... my Uncle had the Dewhursts there for years !!

Yes. I have been on Toxtethnet many times
He has done a great job hasn't he.
Thats  where my Dda was born 70 Cleopas street next one along from Cockburn st.
Interesting seeing the Garston hotel
I remember going in there on my 18th birthday and being asked if I was old enough to drink.
I think the Queens drive pics are from the north end
Because there is another one showing a tuder style house
But a little further on in the pic you can see tennaments
I'm sure they used to be on the left heading towards walton lane
But I could be wrong
Dont know that area very well
