Please would some kind person do me a look up for Robert Ormston aged about 34 born Newcastle on Tyne, Jane his wife don`t know her age or where she was born as they were married in June 1881.  Much Appreciated. Thank you. gladys1

I think I've just found the Robert above in 1881 .. I read his birthplace as Newburn, Northumberland .. he was living in Lamesley.

Need to find out where Gladys got Newcastle from - have you checked the 1901* yet?

*can't find a suitable one. The Newburn one's wife is Janet in 1901 (as Ormiston)  ...so a poss

The 1901 one is written as Jane L .. the index isn't correct .. it's the same family as in 1891 .. that I found?

Hi Pels & Gadget i have Robert Ormston in 1881 census aged 24 with his widowed mother and siblings living at 100 Byker Bank Byker it states that he was born Newcastle and i have the 1861/71 census still in Byker. I was hoping there was a William in the 1891 census but none  looks like amm at a brick wall for now.      Thanks for your very kind help which i appreciate.  Seasons Greetings to both of you.
