J. Galway Photographers of Clones - when did they trade?
« on: Friday 28 December 07 20:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi, Everyone,
Have just been sent images of three photographs of members of the KNIGHT family (a very lucky contact today on a Rootsweb thread), taken by a photographer called J. Galway of Clones.
I'm thinking they must be three siblings, each photo perhaps taken when they reached a certain age - possibly 16 or 18 years.  I think their birth dates were 1869, 1873 and 1875, so was the firm of J. Galway open for business in the mid to late 1870's to early 1890's...?
Very best wishes,
Keith

Hi, Brid,
And welcome to Rootschat!  No, nearly 8 years on, and not a word at all on this matter…

Thanks Keith. I have photos taken at J Galway in Clones during the 1890s. The problem is that we don't know who the people photographed are and only know they are family because the album has been in family possession for yonks. brid

Cathriona at Clones Library would be best person to ask!
