50 th Regiment of Foot
« on: Saturday 29 December 07 20:17 GMT (UK) »
I am researching my Great, Great Grandfather Robert Livingston b. 1797 Armagh, Ireland.
He signed up with the 50th Regiment of Foot in 1816 in Londonderry and served in Ireland until 1819.  The Regiment then went to Jamaica until 1827.
The 50th embarked from Kingston under Major Custance between 12 Jan. -15th Feb. 1827, arriving in Gosport between 9th March and 22 May 1827.
There is a record of Muster Pay List of the 50th Regiment at NA: 1816-1826, WO12/6116-6122
To my knowledge this information is only available at the NA.   If someone researching the 50th could keep an eye open for our Robert, any information would really aid us in filling in the blanks.
Thank you so much, your assistance is greatfully received.
Leviston, Livingston, Livingstone, Mcfarlane, McFarland
