Did a search for baptismal records for children Peter Toner and Brigid ?   Letterkenny

The majority of baptismal records only start from 1867.  However they did find 3 records for children - parents Peter Toner - Biddy Park/Parke

Peter Baptised 22 Feb. 1854
Neal  Baptised  13 Oct. 1861
3rd name illegible 1856
district not given only Letterkenny

noticed no Parke mentioned in any of previous relatives, so none the wiser!!

Some data on Peter Toner and wife Bridget ( Parke ? )

Peter was 76 when he died 1899 therefore year of birth 1822/1823
Bridget was 75 when she died 1899   "           "          "      1814/1815
Their son Peter was 75 when he died 1930     "         "       1854/1855  Corresponds with baptism record.

According to the Griffith Evaluation 1857 in the townland of Ballymacool (known as Upper Ballymacool today) James Parke leased land from Boyds.
The land was adjacent to Kirkstown and in close proximity to the Toners. ( check "Ask about Ireland website)

check Lindel Donegal resourses 1841/1851 pension records for James Parke, Ballymacool  ( perhaps brother of Bridget Parke !! )
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~donegal/conwalcensearch.htm

One last thing the Parkes were Church of Ireland/Presbyterians and the Toners were Catholics.

Rev. Patrick McDevitt P.P. d. September 1913
Chief mourners:
Mrs. Houston, Kirkstown (sister)

Neil Houston and Ellen McDevitt - Kirkstown

Kate Harkin, Ellen Harkin
Children of Patrick Harkin and Catherine McDevitt - Gortnacorrib

Her mother Susan Toner to my knowledge had only one sister , Mary, whom I have previously mentioned .
She married Hudie McDevitt

Where did Hudie live ? Perhaps this is the McDevitt connection

There are no Parkes on 1878 Protestant census for Letterkenny

Re: the Harkins from Gortnacorrib

My Bonner family is from Gortnacorrib. My Great Grandfather Alexander Bonner married Bridget Toner. She is James Toner's sister.

She is at James Toner's funeral along with some of her children.

only information that I had on the McDevitts

Mary Toner married Hudie McDevitt
Son James, he had 2 children Annie and Tommy.

I did a search on Lindel site and found a census record Ballygallan, parish of Conwal
which gives a James McDevitt wife Bridget Toner ( toner just a coincidence I think, lots of Toners around Conwal and Glenswilly)), children Patrick, Connel, Thomas and Annie
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~donegal/1901Ballygallan.htm

Also found some other Children

igi index ; Peter McDevitt 20th May 1873 parents James McDevitt, Bridget Toner

see baptisms, James, John and Mary Ellen McDevitt
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~donegal/1901Ballygallan.htm

Rev. Peter McDevitt P.P. Carrick d. 25 Oct  1905
Miss M.E. McDevitt (niece)
Peter McDevitt(nephew)

I must also state also that eventhough I am only aware of 2 siblings of Peter Toner i.e. Susan and Mary
it doesn't rule out that he may have had other siblings.
