Hi Nora,

I also had a look at the 1841 census of Llangollen but could not find a Joseph Jervis there... although it's quite difficult because Jervis looks so much like Jones, Davies and Lewis (when hand written) of which there are hundreds!!!

Also, the 1841 census of Wrexham is "missing" so it'll be impossible to do any 1841 lookups of Wrexham.

The 1841 Census for Wrexham Town does exist. It shows a Jarvis family living in Tuttle Street Wrexham at Beardsworth Building.
However, whilst the household have children, there is no child named Joseph.

For the record...
Edward Jarvis, 26, Labourer
Elizabeth Jarvis, 26
George Jarvis, 5
Edward Jarvis, 3
Ann Jarvis, 10 months
Lewis - Minera, Denbighshire & Llanerfyl, Montgomeryshire.
Davies - Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, Denbighshire.
Williams - Llanynys, Denbighshire.
Roberts - Cerrigydrudion, Denbighshire.
Clark(e) & Price - Wrecsam, Denbighshire.

dear JS Lewis, thanks for that information, i have not had time to study it yet , but there are good possibilities that it is my Jarvis,s , i will look into it further now, by census,s ect. Joseph was born about 1838 , but they can be out by years cant they, and his marriage cert just says "of full age", so maybe joseph was not yet born in 1841, thank you so much for looking for me, it is very good of you, and it gives me something to go on, regards nora
