I am looking for the family of E.E. Whatley who was residing in Jersey before and during WWII. I have recently discovered that he had a second family in Jersey and that I have several half brothers and sisters who I would love to contact. His daughter Elizabeth.

I presume you have seen that he has an Occupation Registration Card at the Archive Centre and on this card should list any children?

hi i think this maybe my fathers father please could you let me know any info you have or if not where i can look to find the info you have? my farther was born in jersey in 1940 and was evacuated to england when the island was invaded. we know that his father remarried bigamously. as we have the newspaper cutting telling us about the court case.

Unfortunately I have deleted the emails that I send to Margaret (not Elizabeth as I started calling her!).

I obtained the list of EEH's children from his wife's Occupation Registration Card. His wife I believe was Mary Whatley (nee Winters) and was living at 2 Devonshire Place St. Helier with a son called Patrick.

I do recall that we tried to trace any living Whatley's in Jersey but there didn't seem to be any. I don't remember the reason why (it's almost a year ago), but Margaret was going to speak to Elizabeth who I think  is related to EEH's by his second marriage as there was a connection with some Whately's living in Dorset.

Hopefully Margaret will pick up this posting and be able to tell you more.

I see you have another posting asking the same thing and that someone else is looking at the Registration Card for you.

Hi stewart any info u can give me would be most appreciated as margaret and elizabeth have got a brother and sister still alive which they may not know about as they are my grandfathers children from his marriage to my nan in jersey in 1927 at st helier

By the way, I recall that Elizabeth is the relative and that Margaret was acting as a go-between as she had the computer!
