Are you certain it is Ellits lane?

Could it be Elliots lane?

If you have found this address on a census, could you let me know which census, then i can follow the enumerator's walk and find out what locality it was in

hear from you tomorrow

yes it is ellits lane we think it may have changed since then and became what is hill hole lane but can not say yes or no it would have been nice to have known i have looked on the net but there is nothing about it on there i might ask our local council if they have any maps on the subject they are quite good with family history if you get stuck .
thanks for for all you have given me

Greeting’s Folks ….

Ellists Lane Markfield……….

On Modern Maps.

Junction 22 M1
Take the
A611 to-wards Coalville
Straight on at the next roundabout

Ellists Lane is the next turning on your Left
Named “ Billa Barra Lane “

On old maps
Ellists Lane finished when it took a sharp turn to the left
And then be came Billa Barra Lane

Your Cooper family is show on the 1881. Census.
RG 11 / 3136. / 5. / Page. 2.
Ellists Lane Markfield.

Hope this helps

MIKE.
