Hi Sandra,

I've just checked my adoption file and yes that's the same guy, he was born 16/04/1946.
If you know or have any news about either side of the family it will be greatly appreciated.

Surprisingly, my file contains quite a bit of information about (my paternal father) John Bacich and his father Nicholas and mother Gladys Luddington as John was not happy at all about me being given up for adoption.  Sadly in those days the paternal father had no real rights compared to the way that things are done these days.

Kind Regards
Paul

Ivy was the sister of Gladys Luddington birth registered September 1923 - both had a mother with maiden name of Archer.

Hi Paul,

Its all supposition at the moment - but it would be helpful if you had the marriage certificate for Nicholas Bacich and Gladys Luddington ?

It might give you the details of parents and an age to try and identify him.  Do you know if Nicholas was Army or Navy ? Nicola the original poster referred to her Nicholas as a soldier.

Reply 4 by Murphy60 - quoted - Nick T Bacich - Born 27 July 1926 Illinois and who died 11 March 1986 - Enlisted  13 Nov 1944  - Release Date 22 Sep 1945 - He was in the Navy.

There was a Nicholas Bacich born 13 June 1918 Skagit Washington who died April 1986 - Last residence 90731 San Pedro, Los Angeles, California. Which puts him in the same district as your John (now deceased)  Father's name: Nick Bacich and Mother's name: Farry Picovich

This Nicholas - Nick T Bacich married 24 August 1963 Los Angeles to a Katya Separovic (born 1938 and aged 25 years) Katya or Katia died 11 May 2011 (The marriage to Gladys must have ended if this is the correct man  ???)

Obituary for Katia

Another Marriage turns up on an ancestry tree showing Nick T Bacich born 1918 and died April 1986 married Leila Edwards/Lovelace 1958 Sacremento County California (but no source is shown)

Leila Edwards/Lovelace then goes on to marry Lee L Fergusson 28 Jan 1963 - Placer California under the surname Lovelace  ???

John N. Bacich - 16 Apr 1946 - 23 Aug 2008
Last residence :- 90732 San Pedro, Los Angeles, California.
SSN was issued New York
