I see you are researching TOPPING amongst other names. There is a little cast iron marker against one wall in Carmavy cemetery, Co.Antrim, with the inscription:

In memory of
Magdalene TOPPING
Died 19th Nov 1894
Erected by her husband

This site is not far from your search area.

With good wishes

John

Hello Steve -

Thanks for the welcome.

TOPPING
Travel along the seven mile straight road from the Muckamore end till you reach Loanends. Turn right on to the Carmavy Rd. To see exactly where it is, paste this link into your browser (its rather long).

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=%2B54%C2%B0+39'+41.66%22,+-6%C2%B0+7'+17.60%22&ie=UTF8&ll=54.689709,-6.121445&spn=0.172248,0.412674&z=11&iwloc=addr&om=1

HOOD
No doubt you already know of all the HOOD entries on historyfromheadstones.com . There is one which is not listed on that website. I noticed it in Randalstown in the graveyard of the Presbyterian church at the junction of the Portglenone and Ahoghill roads. Below is an extract.

.. Charlotte HOOD
Ballymena?
Widow of
Samuel HOOD J.P. ...

I've got photos for both TOPPING and HOOD if you want them.

Regards

John
