Sore family

Hi, I am researching the 'Sore' family from Suffolk. I have traced Samuel Gardener Sore (b.1856) in Bury St Edmunds back to John Sore (b. 1766).

I would like to find others tracing same family. The family were coopers.

It is thought that there could be a connection with France or the Channel islands.  Also the Gardener name is thought  to be important but don't know where it came from.     

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
