Jan, Trish,

After all the effort you put into assisting me with this little poser I thought you might like to see the details from Lilian's marriage certificate:

1913   Marriage solemnized at The Parish Church in the Parish of Trowbridge in the County of Wiltshire

No 417  Married August 23rd 1913    William George Watts (25) (later to take his father’s name of Hambridge) Foreman for the Great Western Railway of 23 The Halve Trowbridge Wilts, Father George Hambridge
Locomotive Fitter to Lillian Rose Adelaide Hemmens (27)  of Bailbrook House Bath Easton Bath Somerset Father GEORGE JACOB HEMMENS (deceased) Farm labourer.

I guess that about wraps it up  8)

Once again; thanks you both for your tireless persistence.

Regards,

Adrian.

That is wonderful Adrian ;D

I love it when you get cast iron confirmation of something you were sure was the case but had no definite proof of.

Hi Adrian

You and Jan did all the work - I was the interested hanger-on, but it is fabulous to see such a wonderful result from an original query on a name - just amazing what can be found   8)  8)
