Pension records

Would anybody know whether it's possible to access old pension records from 1943?

Either State pension or civil service pension. I doubt if the recipient would be alive today.

We know that my husband's grandfather was married twice and on his death it transpires that he was sill legally married to his first wife and it was she who claimed the pension.

Eaton (Woughton on the Green, Doncaster and N. London), Davis(Shinfield and London), Harrington (Ireland and London), Sutcliffe (Todmorden and London), Williams, Hollingsworth (Thaxted), Lane (Rotherhithe), Fuller (Chesterton, Cambs), Dilley (who knows where????)
