Now back again to the children born in Scotland to William Dalgleish and Elizabeth Brown, the following may well be son John's marriages and children. The marriage to an Elliott and the subsequent use of the name Elliott both for his child and a child born to William Dalgleish and Elizabeth Brown was what pointed me in this direction.
