What's the name of the informant BTW?

I suspect the birth could be anywhere in the range. Death ages can be a bit dodgy. The person reporting the death may have to guess a bit, or the person may have aged more slowly as the years went on, if you see what I mean.  :D

Hello 'dillybert'!

Thank you for your prompt reply.
Looking at the death reg cert from the GRO i don't see a 'BTW' - have i previously so misadvised you?  I hope not.
On the form i have:  "Informant" Sarah Milhuish present at death - 17 Sandwich Street Saint Pancras".  This address was Isabella & Henry's in 1841.  In 1851 they were living at 9 Crescent Mews North - i haven't mapped these two together as yet, but i presume they are close.   Sarah was 65 on the 1851 census and md to Henry Melhuish 70.  Sarah from Surrey and Henry from Devon.  He was a "Master Boot and Shoe maker".  I take it that Sarah was a good friend of Isabella's/Martha.  I haven't been able to decipher the stated medical causes for Isabella's death, but she had something that started with a "Plat[hisis?] for 19 years?!  Also two other stated conditions for "14 days".
I am well settled now regarding the latter part of Isabella Martha's life albeit very limited in personal details and no pictorial references.
I certainly welcome any further input from the team!
Kind regards, Julie.

Thanks Paul, that sounds about right.  She had it for 19 years?!  Had 3 children too.  I thought TB would be quicker than that.
Cheers,
Julie

Good things come to those who wait!  (maybe)

Using some of this lovely quiet Christmas time to look up a few bits and pieces and have revisited our old friend Isabella Martha Wright.

A quick search has come up with this.  Could this be the baptism record that has been so elusive?

From the baptism records of St George in the East, Tower Hamlets, 4 October 1816, Isabella Martha, daughter of Daniel and Mary Wright, born in Market St, in the parish of St Pancras.  In the margin to the left of the record is added "born the 10th January 1795(?)"  The last figure isn't easy to read but it's definitely 1790-something.

Interestingly, another search has come up with a Daniel and Mary Wright having a number of children in the 1780s & 90s baptised at St Lawrence, Reading.   We had believed that IMW had been born in Reading as stated on the censuses but maybe her parents moved to London just before she was born and it was all her elder siblings that were born in Reading?

(I'd liked to have posted a copy of the image of this baptism but I can't seen to add an image to this post)
