Hi Keith, I could never understand back in those days why it was necessary to study Latin and then many years later when I worked in the Insurance industry and all the Workers Comp accidents/illnesses etc reports from the doctors came back in Latin it certainly came in handy!! And now many years later it also has its use in genealogy. However I'm still not convinced as why I had to do Algebra - no genealogy use there that I have come across.
