Bryan, Sim(m)s Llanfyllin
« on: Sunday 13 January 08 11:59 GMT (UK) »
I am looking to contact anyone with connections to the Bryan surname in Llanfyllin and the surrounding area.
John Bryan married Frances Simms Dec 28 1774 in Llanfyllin, both descibed as of this parish). On his marriage bond he was a Taw draper, but 6 days later on his marriage he is described as a flax dresser. They went on to have 7 children, John 1775 - my direct ancestor(my pic on left), William 1777, Richard 1778, Charles 1780, Jane 1781 d.1781, Jane 1782 and Catherine 1785 d.1786. (All information from parish records)

I have much information on John - the eldest son, but have been unable to trace any of the other children (perhaps they didn't make it to they 1841 census) and have no information on the parents births. The daughter Jane was living in Caersws in 1802 (ref - John Bryan's diaries) - so I assume she must have married. The parents moved to Oswestry (Croesoswallt) and died there in 1820 - ref nat. burials.

If anyone can help in any way it would be much appreciated.
