Hi Derr

I'm not sure if that's possible  :( I've checked the marriage indexes for around the birth of their first child  (Mary Jane, 6 in 1871) but I can't find them at the moment.

If they married in Ireland, there wouldn't be a record for them in Northumberland.

Here are the 1871 details - ref as above:

9 New Road, All Saints, Newcastle

Patrick McDonald, 32, Cart man, b. Ireland
Ellen, 25, b. Ireland
Mary Jane, 6, b. Newcastle
Margret, 4, b. Newcastle
Robert, 2, b. Newcastle
John White, Lodger, 28, NER Porter, b. Ireland
Francis Hunt, lodger, 27, Blacksmith, b. Ireland
