John Cannell - Kirk Michael

Hi,

Can anyone help me trace the wife of John Cannell and his parents. John was born in 1796 in Kirk Michael.  I know he had a daughter called Margaret who was born in 1827. I thought that he was married to Eleanor Caine but could not find her on the 1851 census. Then I considered that she had died before the census was completed as I found an entry with an Isabella(Crellin) listed with John Cannell
I would appreciate it if someone could help solve this mystery.

Certainly seems they have the younger children with John and Isabella at first glance
although it is avery common name

Dear Lindy,

i have only just come across your note - from almost 2 years ago about John Cannell and his wife Eleanor CAINE.
From what I can work out John remarried Isabella in 1845 after the death of eleanor in 1841. Jane was born in 1841 and also died in 1841.

However your query was a long time ago and you are probably a wealth of info on the family.  Did you find the parents of John?  i am favouring Thomas and Joney Collin but

I would love to know the update of your note, John Cannell was my 2nd great grandfather.
