Amos Towle marriage
« on: Saturday 19 January 08 16:06 GMT (UK) »
Hi I'm back on my Towles and Whiteheads!

I'm looking for the marriage of Amos Towle and Maria? About 1850, probably just before.  They lived in Beeston after the marriage. An LDS source on the IGI suggests it might have been at Clifton, though Maria was born in Lancashire, according to the censuses.

Thanks
Eric

Hi Eric,

The nearest I see is

Jun 1847 Radford 15 871
Amos Tow. On the same page there's a Maria Ashton ...

You'd need one of the children's birth certs to check Maria's maiden name.

Thaks Tati,
I had a few minutes ago put Amos and Maria in freebmd and found the same. Loking at the page in  the GRO definitely has Tow as his surname, but I'm sure that is the right marriage.

thanks again
Eric
