Yes, it is difficult sometimes to know if the townland mentioned on certs is where they actually came from.

  I have an example in Armagh, the father must have been a seasonal /jobbing labourer, where he married in one church, (no  townlands where they came from), and had his first 3 children at different townlands.  His parents were also married in a different but nearby parish.  (with only the townland of the bride given).
