Saddington Look Up Please? Bits Missing.

I wonder whether someone can help me fill in the gaps for my HORTON relatives please? They didn't seem to move far from Saddington ie births, marriages and deaths are mostly centered around there, Foxton and Mowsley.

I have my 4 x g.grandfather:
                    Thomas HORTON b 1775 Saddington
he married    Ann PEBERDY      b 1790 in July 1809

They had 11 children including my 3 x g.grandfather          Jonathan b1826
plus:  Samuel
          Thomas
          Isaac
          William
           Eliza
           Mary
           James
           Ann
           Sarah
          Hannah

Using the IGI I've managed to do quite well with the PEBERDYs and with some HORTONs, but are the HORTONs I've traced back to the 11th century in Northants directly linked to me?

I've found Henry de HORTON, b.abt 1220, lived in a place called Horton (named after him) in Northhants. His offspring (or offspring's offspring) eventually filtered up to Mowsley, Leicestershire.

Did they reach Saddington? Are they my relatives?

I cannot find out who Thomas HORTONs (b1775) parents are. Please can anyone help or advise me?

hI, MichB, I am also descended from Thomas Horton & Ann Peberdy and, perhaps rarely, actually am a Horton (surname)! I can tell you that Thomas's father was Samuel; Samuel's father was Richard and prior to Samuel's move to Saddington in 1772, the family had been in Mowsley for generations. The Peberdys go back to William of Kilby who was almost certainly cut off by his father's will in Gt Glen where Peberdys can be traced further back. Are you descended from Jonathan Horton. It would be good to make contact. We also have Durrand, Harrold, Warner, Roe and numerous other names amongst Thomas & Ann's ancestors. Cheers- Rich Horton.

Just to say thanks for making contact and filling a few gaps. Since this posting in January I have managed to fill in some gaps and find links back to Yorkshire 1160-1180 then to the Northants HORTONs.

My 3 x great parents are Jonathan and Lydia (nee WATSON) HORTON.

How are you related to Thomas and Ann (nee Peberdy)?

I know I have since PM'd you, but I thought it important to continue this link.

Hi! Just saw this post and doing a bit of research on my ancestors Thomas Horton and Ann Peberdy . My 4x Great Grandparents.  I have two pastel portraits depicting Thomas and Ann which have been passed down over the years. Also their daughter Sarah Horton is my 3x great grandmother and I have several excellent photographs of her in our extensive family history.
