Fanny was born about  1862 in Podnah East Indies and
Sarah was born about 1859 in ?Sokedule? East Indies

  Following the lead from other post ....Sarah seems to marry Clark White and in 1891/81 her birth place is given as Scotland.

Linking to your Somerset post the 1871 gives Sarah J birthplace as just East Indies, looking more closely Fanny appears to have been born Schedule then do for East Indies.
