If you try this site you will find a baptism with the name and year you are looking for.

You do have to pay, but you can download it straight away.

IGI is free (www.familysearch.org) and many but not all Irish births 1864-c1880 are there.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Yes I have researched the IGI index without any luck, and I have just tried Galway site that Jacqui suggested, signed on but I was unable to get any info that she spoke of, in fact couldn't get passed the main page, tried the 4 Galway links.

I agree it is a bit on the pricey side and I only go there if I am 100% sure its what I want and...if I am desperate!
