Is there anyone out there that is also researching the name Western from London/Essex area
Apparently the family were upholstery manufacturers and there was a lounge suite named The Western Suite
I have managed to trace back to Francis Western born c 1779 who married Elizabeth Jewell on 7 Jan 1805 in Shoreditch but I can find nothing whatsoever for Francis being born!!!

I have a Charles WESTERN who married an Elizabeth GLANVILL. They were living at Rivington Street, Shoreditch, in 1881. Charles was a porter, and the mother-in-law, Mary GLANVILL, was living with them. That's about it - my main interest is in Glanvill of Devon and London, and Mary was born in Devon...
