« on: Saturday 26 January 08 10:53 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I think I have my ggrandmother's marriage certificate - but wear did she get to afterwards??

1869 - at St Barnabas Church in the Parish of St Luke in the county of Middlesex.
498 - July 18th 1869
Frederick James Davis - full - bachelor - Engraver - 33 Ackford Terrace - Henry Charles Davis - Silversmith.
Jane Skinner - full - spinster - 7 Ironmonger Row - William Skinner - Upholsterer.
In the presence of James Thomas Alexander - Matilda Davis.

Cheers

Keith

I think Eliza Jane Davis is their daughter

This is another definite!!

198
15th May 1895
Frederick Josiah Hay - 28 year - Bachelor - Builders Labourer - 13 Wilmington Square-
Father - Thomas Hay - Copper Plate jointer.
Eliza Jane Davis - 24 Spinster - Cook (domestic) 13 Wilmington Square
Father Frederick James Davis - House Painter
Witness - Frederick James Davis - Frederick Legussick

That is all I have to make the 2 together.

Cheers

Keith

Cant even see the Hays in 1901 - to get a more exact PoB on Eliza  ::)

I wondered whether Fred Hay, 35 b Clerkenwell, was hubby and son Arthur, 5, Eliza's son in 1901: RG13/1244 folio 38 p6

Frederick J. Hay was b Clerkenwell abt 1867 per 1871, 1881 censuses - ties in with father's name of Thomas, and Frederick's age at marriage
