Can anyone find me some Tremerys in Truro on the 1851 please?

Have several in Tavistock born Truro in 1851 already but hopefully there will be more.

Is the 1851 indexed at all please?

Many Thanks

Sorry Debbi 1851 Census is my worst nightmare...nothing is just Truro as I have told u before they r all areas of Truro....Do u know which area?...I do not have indexing....Do U have 1841 and 61 they r indexed for Cornwall...I Understand 1851 is being transcribed but it doesnt appear to be one disc by what I can see different sections appear to be part of different discs...seems terribly confusing.......I dont have a problem where people know an actual parish but when all they know is an entire area Particularly Truro I just dont have a show of finding it.....Peoples births r listed as Truro yet on the census nothing appears as just Truro..so many parishes come under the district of Truro.......If U dont have a parish unfortunately all I can do is keep my eyes open for this name when I am searching these areas...Sorry to not be more possitive...Kris  :'(

Hi Kris,

we meet again.I was hoping that maybe someone had them already or noticed them.I couldnt remeber which census in Cornwall were indexed and which werent  :-[
It was just a small worm dangled out incase a big fish could catch it and help me out.

If you dangle a worm often enough somethings gonna bite huh?!

I dont have 1841 for Cornwall for that name or the other versions of Emery/Emmery/Eanery.Do you have 1841 at all?  (by 1861 they are in Devon).

Many thanks

Hi Debbi,

My dad has transcribed a lot of the 1851 census for Cornwall and indexed each part. The info is not on disc but available to purchase in print ( very cheap, non profit making). There are 46 Trenerys in Truro. If you want them all I'll get on to it or if you have any specific names let me know.

Hi Sue,

thank you for the kind offer.

I am actually seeking one Thomas Emery born Truro 1829.
Tremery might be a corruption of Emery but would Trenery?Or is this a  name in its own right in Cornwall?

I am clutching at straws here!

Many thanks

Debbi

Hi Debbi,

Dad will have a look for you but is busy cooking at the moment. If he comes up with anything useful I'll post it later.

Hello Debbi,

This is the only likely candidate, there are no Emerys or varients in Truro

Lower Rosewin, St Clements

Thomas Trenerry     24      butcher      b St Clements
Mary Trenerry          25                        b kenwyn
William Trenerry        4                         b kenwyn
Thomas Trenerry      10m                     b St Clements
Joseph Trenerry        13 ( brother )       b St Clements

Not sure they are any use maybe just a red herring!

Hi Sue,

sorry got waylaid by children and stuff last night so didnt get back to you.

As Thomas Emery has a child with and presumably marries in 1852 I dont think that can be him.

Also the Tremerys I have on 1851 in Tavistock are Joseph and Elizabeth.

Maybe Thomas Emerys parents just passed though and had him and moved on ???

Wish all census for 1851 were online in one place so you could name search through the lot in one go  ;D

Thanks to you and your Dad for the effort though. please contact me if you need any help in Devon.
