However the census records two.

There is also a John Chapman Born Watford 1854

John son of Joseph Chapman (born Baldock) & Mary Ann (b Rickmansworth & Married Dec Q 1852 Hitchin).

My problem is as follows:-

1.   I seek the father of Louisa Jane Chapman, listed on census of 1891 as John Born 1863 Rickmansworth & married to Mary Ann Cake.

2   Is he John, son of John b Norfolk & Sarah or of Joseph b Baldock & Mary Ann ?


3   Who is John, husband of Rachel?


Has any Rootschatter access to parish registers for Mill End and Croxley Green to see if witnesses to the respective weddings might help clear up my dilemma ?

Rg12/1121/91/15 has been mistranscribed he is 47 in 1901 so b.Watford 1854

Joseph Chapman is next door in 1891 so would make a likely father at first glance
