...Would you please look for a marriage for the following person? 

I do not know where or when the marriage took place.

Helen Easton PRYDE (she might have been called Ellen)
Born:  25 April 1859 in Stow, Midlothian (per LDS IGI)
Parents:  Robert Pryde & Mary Muir

According to her sister's paperwork, Helen married someone with the surname of Turnbull and had at least three children:  Gladys Myrtle Turnbull, George Ballantyne Turnbull and Thomas Melrose Turnbull.

Some or all of the Turnbulls seem to have emigrated to Australia or New Zealand at some point but I don't know when.

I have Helen in the 1861 census transcript with her family but I can't find her after that.  I think I have her parents in 1871 & up but Helen/Ellen is not listed with them.  If I have the right family in 1871, they were in Edinburgh St. Cuthberts, Midlothian.  If I have the right family in 1881, they were in Galashiels, Selkirkshire.

Thank you in advance, either way.  It was kind of you to offer and I'm sure you've been inundated with requests.

I have a policy that if people do have access to SP, I'll just do an index search as it can be quite expensive to dish out £1 for something that you might get yourself.

I'm a pensioner.

I hope I did not come across as a greedy-guts.  I do appreciate very much that you used a credit and spent the time searching and replying to me. 

I haven't worked in over a decade due to illness; I don't have any income whatsoever and I do understand what it's like to be on a tight budget.  On birthdays and holidays, I ask my husband for a bit of money to buy certificates. 

The reason I asked specifically in my title for Dave (daval57) was because he wrote this in his post on the Lanarkshire board:

"I'm bored! I'm fed up looking up my family with no positive result.
Anybody want a look up?
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
Genuine offer!
I've got about 100 credits and can't be bothered looking up any more of mine tonight!"

Otherwise, I would not have asked anyone here to look up anything for me on ScotlandsPeople because I know it is very expensive and often takes many credits to find one entry.

I do hope I haven't caused any offense.
