I am very new and havent joined any of the sites yet. I am looking to reasearch the liddons from beddau. All i now so far is my grand fathers, and his siblings details but i dont know where to start.

and search for all types of events for Liddon in Pontypridd, there are several but the earliest is a marriage in dec quarter 1910. The births have maiden names of Iles, Henley and Randall, As you know the siblings, you should be able to work out which of the families is yours, although it's likely that they are all related.
Once you can identify which marriage relates to your family, you can get the marriage certificate for the parents which will give the details of both the fathers and hopefully will take you back to the 1901 census.

First of all you need your grandfather's birth certificate.
This will give you his father's name and his mother's maiden name. 
(or if your grandfather is still alive, ask him for the names of his parents)

Then you can find their marriage, or ask here. 

The marriage cert of your great-grandparents will tell you the names of both of the bride and groom's fathers, and will give you the lead to go back another generation.

When you get back to 1901 it becomes easier as you can start to use the census returns, although you may still need certain certificates to be sure of the facts.
