Tynemouth - Walker[s] Place
« on: Monday 04 February 08 15:12 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know where I might find a picture of the original Walker Place?
My gt gt gr father was born there in 1820.
I went to see it last year, but was told, in the pub, that it had been demolished some 8 or 9 years ago. :o

Hi Kooky,

You could try North Shields library, they have lots of old photographs of the area:

The Local Studies Centre in the Central Library, North Shields, collects and makes available material relating to the people and places that make up North Tyneside.
