Children of William Dinsmore and Martha Pollock:
1. Mary born 31 July 1864 Aghadowey dist.
2. Martha born 9 Mar.1867 Aghadowey dist.
3. William born 19 Jan.1871 Co. Derry

If you can find townland in Aghadowey I might be able to find more information on the family.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Otto- that's the same William that I found as being born in Co.Derry but Aghadowey's only the registration district. Have lots of files and sources I could check if I had a townland.

Unfortunately thats the best I can do, for now anyway.

(by the way thx for your comment - it was "scotmum" who pointed me in the right direction of looking into Scottish records, when I got exasperated looking for my Ggrandparents marriage, sometimes we all need help to "see outside the box" as it were.)

If you find the townland(s) the Dinsmore lived in in Aghadowey district let me know and I'll check some of my records for them.

Just a quick update.
I found William and Margarets first born son, born in Port Glasgow in August 1884. Thanks again Otto for the info and pointing me in the right direction.
