Any handwriting experts?
« on: Tuesday 05 February 08 00:05 GMT (UK) »
I am hoping that the handwriting on these two documents belong to the same person.  There is a mystery surrounding Thomas, and it would be lovely if I could at last solve it by matching these two pieces.

I'm not very technical, so I've just added them as attachments, maybe somebody could fiddle about with them so they can be seen along side, or above each other :)

I can get a lot of the letters to match, bearing in mind there's about 30 years between them as well, but I'm no expert.

Rosemary ;D

Yes looks very the same
ends of the words ride upwards and become smaller
Not written by a confident writer or lover of reading
a bit of a struggle
written by an engineer/mechanical/practical person
definitely a male hand
just like my own father's writing

I would say they are written by the same person ( 25 years apart )
F,c s,e,n & r are the same and the t is similar
But I'm no expert

You're right cheshiremog, he was an mechanical engineer's labourer.

Thanks everybody, I was hoping you would all think like me.

Well Subaru
I am rather surprised and pleased to hear that
I could almost smell the engine oil!

But maybe just a lucky guess
