I'm just wondering how Ellen relates to the Rossiter family. For Lucy to be a cousin Ellen must be a sister of Charles.

Is it possible to check out Charles's parents and get a complete list of their children please? Hopefully this will explain the situation.

isaac rossiter bapt 15th feb 1858 privately baptised.father simon rossiter labourer of marston and mother isabella.
charles rossiter bapt 1st jan 1860
isabella rossiter born 19th march 1864 bapt 24th march 1864
these are the only ones i see.surely lucy would be a cousin of charles?therefore child of either simon rossiters sibling or isabella hoddinotts siblings

now if we can find a sibling sister who married a sly we will be laughing otherwise it must be simon rossiters female sibling

we can discount the hoddinott side all females accounted for must be on simon rossiters side.what info do you have on him?

I have Simon as born 1828 in Clansdown, the son of John Hoddinott & Lydia Baynton.

He married Isabella Hoddinott in the June Qtr of 1857 at Frome.

John and Lydia also had:-
