1841/1851 Census Please For Witham Friary ROSSITER

there are 2 rossiters stating place of birth as witham friary in 1861-
the first being isabella rossiter wife of simon living in nunney marston will give info if you wish and the second being susan rossiter wife of cornelious living in wellow somerset.
the 1871 shows another simon rossiter born c 1795 also born witham friary now living in beckington with wife elizabeth and neices and nephews by the name of pickford

Are you only looking for the Census info? I assume you know the parents of Hugh (James & Caroline) as you have the baptism date

Hi Steve,

I collect info from a variety of sources e.g. censuses, BVRI, parish records, family research, various websites & forums etc.

Given that there is no one source that has all the information I tend to gather the pieces here and there and try to re-build branches of the family tree structure.

I have some info on the Rossiters of Witham Friary but I still have patches which have no moved past 1800 and Hugh is one of them.

I know James and Caroline but have little or no biographical data i.e. no birth, marriage, death info about them.

Even today after about 8 years on the Rossiters I uncover people that I've never heard of.

Each time I have to research them to see where they fit in to the main tree i.e. link them to Rossiters I already have details of.

Thanks again for this one.

I have this Charles in my database but have no link to the Sly family.

Charles' parents were Simon Rossiter and Isabella Hoddinott. The only other child I have is a sister Isabella who married Albert Humphrey Compton in March Qtr 1890 at Frome.

I only have 3 children listed for Simon & Isabella :-Isaac (born & died 1858), Charles ( born 1859) and Isabella born 1864.

To be a niece, Lucy must be a child of one of Charles's siblings but that's not possible unless Charles has another sibling or Isabella married twice though I can't find sucha marriage.
