Vic death lookup please
« on: Wednesday 06 February 08 06:10 GMT (UK) »
Looking for Henry MITCHELL born 1840 Oxford, England
not sure if he married or not but if he did it would have been in VIC I imagine most likely.

Also a brother to Henry was Charles William MITCHELL
born 1843 Islington, England
looking for a marriage if possible too - again would be most likely in VIC

Fathers name was Henry MITCHELL if that helps.

Thanks in advance,
Lilygirl.

And there is this marriage for a Henry Mitchell that may be the one you want....

Henry MITCHELL born LONDON married Eliza TAYLOR in 1875
Ref = 1240

However....there were marriages for a lot of Henry Mitchells.....that is just the one that had an English birth place listed.

With both of them, to be sure, you would need to see the certificates.

Hi there Dee,

Thanks.
Would you be able to see if there's any children that look like being born to Charles William and Eliza Wright please??

Sounds hopeful will look further into it.

Thanks
Lilygirl.

Lilygirl.....I have found some very confusing information. The only way to sort it out may be a couple of certificates........

Firstly, here are the children listed to Charles William MITCHELL & Eliza WRIGHT......

Rose Ellen MITCHELL born in 1869 at GORDONS
Ref = 15876

Amy Florence MITCHELL born in 1881 at BUNG
Ref = 942

A very big gap between them.......

Then I found this death.....

James Court MITCHELL aged 2 died in 1874 at  MOOR
Ref = 4134

 But when I looked for his birth, the mother was given as Eliza Newnam

James Court MITCHELL born in 1871 at BUNG
Ref =  14559

So I searched some more and found the following....

Other chn born to  Charles William MITCHELL & Eliza NEWMAN

Wm Hy MITCHELL born in 1873 at BUNGAREE
Ref = 14909

Elizabeth Alice  MITCHELL born in 1876 at BE MG
Ref = 14259

So I really don't quite know what to make of it. There is no marriage for a Charles William MITCHELL & Eliza NEWMAN.

Hi there,
 ;)
Get mixed response about that some people say keep them separate and others say join all as one so hard to know what to do.

But thanks for your help.

Looking forward to sorting out their children somehow!

Lilygirl.
