Strang History (2)
« on: Wednesday 06 February 08 09:24 GMT (UK) »

Hello All,

Although I have made postings on the Perthshire Board before, it is fair to say that I place the bulk of my postings on the Fife Board. I would like to share a brief history of the Strang family with you, and to keep the records straight, I placed Part 1 of the Strang History on the Lanarkshire Board because that is where my journey began, in Glasgow to be precise, with the marriage of John(e) Strang and Anna Stewart.

Although William Strang was actually born about 1649 at Tillicoultry in Clackmannanshire, he married Bessie Peacock on the 22nd May, 1675 at Tulliallan in Perthshire.

Their children, (or at least some of them) were:

Abram Strang christened 27th December, 1677 at Tulliallan, Perthshire.
Andrew Strang christened 31st March, 1683 at Tulliallan, Perthshire.
William Strang christened 29th December, 1685 at Tulliallan, Perthshire.
John Strang christened 13th March, 1692 at Tulliallan, Perthshire.
Agnes Strang christened 12th May, 1695 at Tulliallan, Perthshire.
Elspet Strang christened 9th October, 1698 at Tulliallan, Perthshire.

In order to keep the sequence of events in some kind of order, Parts 3 and 4 will take us to Kincardine by Doune in Perthshire. and then back to Tulliallan.

Kind regards,

Tom.
