Would someone double check a reference for me please?
« on: Wednesday 06 February 08 17:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I'm just about to order a couple of death certs and I would be grateful for a 2nd opinion please.

I am looking for Emily and Ann Underhay who died in Q1 1856.

I believe the reference is 1b 330 (but it could be 331) its really hard to read.

Would some kind person mind checking this and let me know what they think

Many thanks in advance

You're right - it is horrible !

It could also be 336 !

I've had some like that - if you're ordering on line make a note in the box  - I think it's the reference check one - or - and this is what I did once - ring the GRO and tell them you can't read it and they came up with the correct number for me.

I'd also say 330 - but you can get the GRO to look at their own copies by emailing them - if you look thru their FAQs theres a special email address for these queries ...

Hi Everyone

Thank you all for your input.  I was 99% sure it said 330 but I just wanted some one else's opinion.  I'm 100% certain now and off to order the certs ;D

Thanks again
