Heyward - I'm watching this thread - I spent ages this afternoon and couldn't find her at all - I even tried England in case they'd crossed the border!

Hi

Had a look through the 1871 census sheets for Sirhowy , only Clee living there then is a William Clee aged 20 born Merthyr Glamorgan.

I know in 1861 there is a William born Merthyr who is (I assume) a brother- other thread.I have tried first name/ second name searches/place names etc but absolutely nothing. They don't seem to be on Ancestry anyway.

cheers everyone

William is a brother. Family in 1861 are transcribed as Clar on Ancestry - RG9/4003 folio 11 pg 13. I can find William and the married daughters in 1871 (think I found Elizabeth married to a harper RG10/5323 folio 77 pg 14), but of the parents and Edwin and Harriet, like you, I can find no sign.
