Frank Curtis 1891-1960
« on: Friday 08 February 08 08:45 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find Frank Curtis born Leicester 1891 and died Nottingham 1969. I know he married Ethel Miller in 1904 and they had a son Granville. He is the brother of James Curtis- 1887- 1959 and son of William Curtis 1846- 1914. I know these facts from family information but can not link  them to any census information Please help. :(

Thanks for all your suggestions.
I know he was younger than James Curtis and was born around 1891 in Leicester.
His wifes name was Ethel and on the register for the sons birth it showed as Miller. Looking back I see he could not have married in 1904 but that was the only one I found for those names.
I am still confused as his great nephew recollects him very well and his dates and names but we can not link him with his grandfather-James

Lets go back a stage then, what is the son's name and d-o-b and place of birth? and do you know if he had older siblings?
Then - if the 1904 marriage is NOT the right one, we can look for one that is. Likewise if the 1904 marriage is him, then the d-o-b and place of b you have must be incorrect.

But lets try and get it sorted!

Sons name is Frank Curtis dob is 1891in Swannington, Leics i think and he died 1969. He was married to Ethel and had a son Grenville around 1927. As he could not have married in 1904 there is a possible marriage to Someone Jarvis in 1921 in Nottingham Jul/Aug/Sept 7b 793.
The direct line is brother James Curtis dob1887 died 1959 born Swannington, Leics.
Elder siblings were: Kate E 1867-1882, Clara 1872-, William 1873-, sarah 1876-, harriet 1877-Oliver 1879-, Edith Alice 1881-, Frances 1886-, Samuel 1886-, Then James, Arthur 1890-, then finally Frank. All were apparently born in Swannington.
Father was William born 1846 in Swannington died in 1914 and mother Mary Ann Mawby born 1866, Leicester and died 1913.

It really is a puzzle but thanks for trying to help sort it out.
