Was there such a person?
« on: Friday 08 February 08 16:43 GMT (UK) »
I was watching the channel 4 programme (City of Vice) a few weeks ago.  This particular episode concerned the murder of Revd Erasmus Cavendish investigated by the London magistrate at that time - Henry Fielding.  Apparently he was once the vicar of St Anne's Church, Soho, London.  But was there such a person or was this particular episode purely fictional? I can't find anything about him on the clergy database.  But perhaps a wasn't looking properly? I was just curious that's all.  I love a good murder mystery!
