Anyone know where "Sear", near Preston is?
« on: Saturday 08 January 05 14:29 GMT (UK) »
My ancestress Ellen Hodgson Bradley who died in 1831 is listed in the St. Wilfrid's Catholic registers (Preston) as residing in "Sear" at the time of her death.  I cannot locate Sear on any map.  Has anyone ever heard of this place?

I've never heard of it either, so it could be Lea.
