Thank you. 
I'm very pleased you have the records of Great Burstead. I believe the John Reeve you mentioned, baptised 7th. December 1779 is my ancestor.
 
So far, all I have is a copy of page 143 of the above records, showing the baptism of my Gt Grandfather, Joseph Reeve, son of the above John Reeve and Hannah, on 6th September 1835.

I would be very grateful to have any more information re. this family who seem to have resided in Little and Great Burstead for several generations.

Wonder if I could jump in here and ask if any of you have come across a Maud(e) Mary Reeve b 1870, married George Hammond 1890 - my knowledge of Essex is limited at best but i believe it may be Chipping Hill??

Fingers crossed she may be connected somewhere.

I've had a quick trawl through the Great Burstead baptisms for the 1770's and have picked up two  that may be yours;

8 May 1774 Anne daughter of John and Sarah Reeves

29 March 1772 Elizabeth daughter of John and Sarah Reeves OF LAINDON.

The earlier 1772 entry is the clue you need to take you back further. It looks as though Laindon is the parish in which you'll find pre-Great Burstead information.

Very pleased to hear from you.

My John Reeve d of b 1795, married Hannah, and they lived in Laindon in 1835, when son Joseph was born. They also produced Ann, Charles, Harriet, Robert, and Henry.

I wonder John and Sarah were the Grandparents of John,  Anne and Sarah were his Aunts.
