Hi Emma,
Please give yourself a pat on the back. You have been brilliant for me tonight. When I go back into the Home on Monday I shall hopefully make one of the ladies in residence a little more enlightened about her background. Many years ago she had actually gone to Somerset House only to find all the records had been moved "to somewhere in the country" and she had been very disappointed.This should make up for it a little bit. Now I shall try to go further back as she wants to know whether she might be related to the book publishing family of "Hutchinson's Press" fame. Time will tell??!!
