 :) :)does any know about the national archives thats on the net in the militery page can you see all of the medal with out paying to see it or do you have pay to see it.

You can look up the medal card index for WW1 soldiers free - this gives you very basic information, but NOT their medal entitlement, eg:

Medal card of John, Smith
Corps   Regiment No   Rank
Royal Engineers Inland Waterways Transport    220    Private
Date    1914-1920

You can then download the full medal card for £3.50 if you wish.
