My 'oldest' Straughan is a William who died in 1940 and is buried in Seaton Burn Cemetery, to date i haven't got past that.  One of his sons was also called William and he was my FIL. I have not managed to ascertain his wife or his place and date of marriage consequently have not got back any further.
