Back to Sue again

John Perry...Mum is certain that he emigrated, she's pretty sure it was to Australia, but may be Canada..
I think she once said that he and my grandfather had a coal business together ? Ruislip/ Rickmansworth, but when I spoke to her yesterday she couldn't remember whether this was correct or not.
However the Austraia connection may be worth persuing...I am  busy trying to find George at the moment in 1881...I think I will try and find Robert as he was a witness maybe they lived near each other.
Interesting that George's father was deceased in 1881, I keep getting the same person coming up as a possible match but he was a John George...he died in 1870.

Thanks again

Unfortunately I  have no idea how I can verify this info, it seems I get one step forward, then take two back at the moment...still I will keep going, the more I find out, the more fascinated I become with my paternal family!

Just thought I'd update this thread..thanks to those who have replied and helped... finding this family has moved on apace.

John A Perry emigrated to Australia in 1911 with his wife Florence Stewart nee Enfield, they apparently had 5 daughters and 3 sons, with help I have found some information. However as yet have not found their embarkation details.

Perhaps most amazingly I have found a descendant of my grandfathers elder brother (through ancestry family tree), who has helped me tie up family details. she has confirmed that Arthur Perry b. Chile 1854 was in fact George Perry, but other details are correct, he died in 1934.

His father George Perry was a ships surgeon...cannot be found on lists of surgeons.

Along with another interested party through Jessie Pope, we are having a triangular information gathering...but there are still members of this family that remain most elusive.

George (b.1854) appears to have been married before Jessie (so earlier that 1881)....? who
George Perry (senior) having huge problems finding any details...cannot find George 1854 birth details, so cannot work back from there. Nor have I any details re mother.
I cannot find either George prior to 1891 on census.
There are at least 2 brothers, Ernest and Leslie, born later than 1901, that we are searching for ? born in Essex or Middx...this is a work in progress.

Any ideas or info re the two Georges would be gratefully received.

Once again to everyone who has helped in this search...it has helped..mandy
