« on: Sunday 17 February 08 12:30 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help please.

john Morris born 1793 Ganarew,  Carpenter,Wheelwright and Parish Clerk.
Wife Sarah

Children possibly with him Anne 1816, Bengamin 1818, Elias1820 all born in Llangarron are all i have but there could be more as Sarah would only have been about 27 in 1820.

Joseph born 1815 was not with them in 1841 (have him in the 1841 census).

Thanks heywood thats great
That almost certainly must be the boys and mother Sarah,

BUT big fopar with the father. His name was John and his son was Joseph the 1815 birth. Sorry about that :-[.

If that is them then that only leaves the 1841 for john.

Cheers
Eddie

That's Joseph and i have him in the census up to 1881, he is my 2 gr grandfather.

Have just recently learned that his father is john, so was hoping John had survived through a couple of the census but at the moment it seems like we only have a chance in 1841 with Sarah being a widow in 1851.

The 20yr old Elies may be family as John and Sarah were married in 1812 but will look for some more on him to make sure.

Have modified the first post to John.

You mentioned Elias in your first post- I am fairly sure that will be him - born 1820 and 20 in 1841 census - just mispelt.
So you have him in 1841 and 1851 now.

Couldn't find Sarah nor John yet but will have another search.

Hi
You're right about Elias, must have been a miscalculation on my part.

I have John 1813 penciled in at the moment as i have John Snr born Ganarew 1793 and married 1812 to Sarah Jones.

Jones could be Susan's maiden name or Henry Jones could be a grandson of John and Sarah. No relationships given in 1841.

Ages were rounded ? up or down to the nearest five in 1841 so John 30, James 25 and Thomas 30 may fit.

We know Sarah was still alive in1851 so she has to be around in 1841 and so must Benjamin but where.

A couple of town names must be mispelt in the 1851 census, Langassen must be Langarron and Hentchurch i can't find must be Whitchurch.
