Hello Elaine

After casual browsing on the net I found the enquiry into the McCafferty family history.
This information may be relevant or not.

My Uncle . RC Priest Father John Quinn used to visit a family called McCafferty in Greenock when home on leave from the missions back in the 60's and early 70's.
I have just recently found out that my Great Grandfather had been married twice
and McCafferty may have been his name. My granny's maiden name was McGurn from Derrygonnelly in Ireland. There is some confusion with this and I am currently making enquiries with my Irish relatives.
My Gran married John Quinn I assume round about the 1920's given the age of my father and uncles.
Regards
B.
